Rev. Eric Douglas has been serving as a pastor in our conference for the last 14 years. Rev. Douglas is an Elder in the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. His previous appointment history includes a mix of various worship styles and all sizes of congregation. Rev. Douglas’ has spent considerable time in community engagement within the context of his churches, including helping to lead the overall community redevelopment plan for a rural population center in Mineral Wells.

Helen and her family recently moved back to Austin, after having lived away for 10 years. Helen is originally from San Diego, CA and has lived in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, Florida, and Virginia. She is married to her wonderful husband Richard, who is the pastor of Christ Episcopal Church in Cedar Park and has 3 awesome children. She has worked for several different Episcopal and Methodist churches, doing children’s and youth ministry. She feels truly called to minister to children and their families. She is excited to be part of the Rockbridge community. In her free time, Helen likes to thrift shop, travel, read, and take her 2 dogs, Milo and Eli for long walks.

Barbara and her husband Thomas joined Rockbridge Church in April 2014. Barbara is thankful for the opportunity to serve Rockbridge in this administrative capacity. She serves as a volunteer staff member by fulfilling duties as financial secretary, overseeing the facilities building use agreements and completing administrative duties as needed. Barbara spent 33 years working for the Federal government in several capacities within the administrative field. She worked for the Department of Defense in both the Air Force and Army branches and worked for the Department of Justice, Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel overseeing the administrative staff for 12 different attorney offices within the midstates region of the country. Barbara also worked as a bank teller for a period of time after graduation from high school. Barbara enjoys time with her family, golfing, swimming, reading and traveling.
